CMGT visited Morton Arboretum on September 4. We hiked at a leisurely pace and enjoyed the tranquility trail in the deep woods with beautiful prairies to visit the Big Rock, a 14-ton granite boulder in the East side of the Arboretum. After the hiking, we enjoyed lunch and reading together a beautiful children book about tree, “If I Were A Little Tree“, with the author, Christy Namondo Menyoli. We greatly appreciate CRTI (Chicago Region Tree Initiative) Tree Ambassador Team who helped us organized, welcomed, and led us in this hiking event.
