MCC Chicago‘s Green team is on the news! please read Chicago tribune article on 4/4/24, “Muslim women push Chicago community to join green Ramadan: ‘We are the caretakers of the Earth’”.
We are very proud of MCC Green Team! They have been persistent and perseverant in raising awareness about Green Ramadan at MCC Chicago and MEC Morton Grove. May Allah SWT reward their hard work. MCC Green Team also created flyers to inspire and remind the community members to use refillable water bottle stations instead of using plastic water bottles. Let’s support them, let’s be part of our growing movement!
ISLAMIC FOUNDATION IN VILLA PARK
In his Jummah 2nd khutba on March 8, 2024, Imaam Hisham Alqaisi from Islamic Foundation in Villa Park reminds us the importance of reducing our food waste, water waste, and reducing the use of plastic water bottles in our community (please watch the khutba until the end, thank you!)
