CMGT has been organizing multiple events and committed to reduce waste that will end up in the landfill. For example, CMGT first project in 2019 focused on raising awareness about reducing waste in celebrating Islamic holidays. In order to keep this practice for future events, CMGT feels the need to have a guideline.
We are grateful that Zero Waste Warriors (ZWW) team of The Climate Reality Project, Chicago Metro Chapter gladly accepted our invitation to collaborate. Thank you to Natalie ZWW for leading the collaboration and Madeline ZWW for creating the guideline.
