CMGT was happy to be back at Caldwell Woods last Saturday, August 2 to participate at the Back-to-School Community Adventure Day, thanks to the invitation from the Forest Preserve of Cook County. Previously, in June 2024, CMGT organized Painting at Caldwell Wood collaborated with Wayfinding, LLC. Last May, CMGT CEO Dr. Layalee Beirat was one of the panelists at the The Wellness Ecosystem event at the Woods.
The Back-to-School event was presented with ICNA Chicago, Niles-Maine Library, Hive Center for the Book Arts and many others to start the school year with a day of community give-a-ways, school supply distribution, activities, food and more.
From the beginning of the event, CMGT’s table attracted many children. Our table presented Art and Craft activities from recycled materials, including crocheting and weaving plastic bags, creating bookmarks from used envelopes and old stamps, and making paper bags from old magazines, catalogs or newspapers. CMGT also provided free books with nature and science themes. Here are the pictures from the event.
